Economical and Clean OHV Engines
Kubota's own air-cooled, 4-cycle OHV engines achieve greater combustion efficiency by placing the valve over the cylinder. This way, air and fuel are more completely mixed together to achieve greater thermal and fuel efficiency while reducing emission into the air. All engines used in the ARX Series generators have passed the United States Environmental Protection Agency's (E. P. A.) non-road emission regulations.

Easy, Smooth Starting
Engines used to power the ARX Series are equipped with an automatic decompression system and a maintenance free electronic ignition device to provide easy starting in any type of weather. The automatic decompression system has significantly reduced the recoil starter's pulling force, thus making it easy for most anybody to start the engine. Easy 'One Push' electric start is a standard feature on ARX5500B and ARX6500B.

Lower Noise Level
Noise levels are greatly reduced by Kubota's original sound reduction design (with special focus on air intake, combustion and exhaust systems), larger air cleaners, Kubota's highly efficient combustion chamber, oversized mufflers and USDA approved spark arrestors.

Stable Power Supply
Either the brushless Condenser Load Compensation (CLC) system or the brush type Automatic Voltage Regulator (AVR) system is used in the generator unit. Both systems ensure consistent output with very little fluctuation.

Fuel and Oil Efficient
Improved fuel economy and reduced oil consumption contribute to economical operation. Kubota's OHV engines consume 25% less fuel and 50% less oil than comparable side valve engines. The Auto Idler lowers fuel consumption even more for ARX4000 - ARX6500B models.

Convenient and Safe Operation
All connectors, indicators and controls are grouped together for convenient operation. Electric start models feature standard automatic choke and hour meters to help schedule preventive maintenances. Voltmeters and Oil Watch indicators inform the operator of problems at a glance. As a safety measure, the Oil Watch system automatically stops engine operation before the oil reaches an unsafe level. Twist-lock receptacles solve the problem of accidental cord unplugging. Built-in circuit breakers/protectors provide additional safety for AC and DC circuits.
